A few specific fixes for willettsolicitors.com.

Willett & Co Solicitors · Bury St Edmunds · website rebuild. I rebuild small-firm sites in my spare time when I can see the current one is leaving the firm's strongest credentials off the homepage. Three things stood out on mobile within ten minutes of looking at willettsolicitors.com. Findings below, then a working rebuild at /preview/ you can click through.

Three findings, in order of revenue impact

What the current homepage is leaving on the table.

A walk-through of the live willettsolicitors.com on 25 May 2026.

01

52 years on Angel Hill, two minutes from the Abbey Gate, and the homepage never says either.

Observation
The current willettsolicitors.com hero reads "Looking for expert legal advice in Bury St Edmunds?" with no founding year, no Angel Hill address, no Clive Willett, no Abbey-Gate landmark. The strongest single line the firm owns is the front-row Suffolk-heritage location, and it is not on the page. The site does say "over 50 years" further down, but never gives the founding year (1973) and never names the founder. SRA number 59588 (chronologically one of the older numbers on the register) is not surfaced.
Cause
The current site is a custom older CMS (main2_202501021024.css) with a generic stock-photo hero. Address sits in the footer. Heritage paragraphs are buried in /site/about/. The CMS has no "founding-year arithmetic" so "over 50 years" was written years ago and never updates.
After rebuild
Hero strap reads "Bury St Edmunds solicitors, since 1973." A founding strip directly under the hero reads "1973 · est. by Clive Willett · 52 years at 18 Angel Hill." The Abbey-Gate-and-Angel-Hill photograph carries the right column. Founding-date arithmetic is calculated from a foundingDate field at build time, so the "52 years" line self-updates every January.
02

4.85 out of 5 from 186 client reviews, buried two clicks deep.

Observation
Willett & Co has a 4.85/5 rating from 186 reviews on ReviewSolicitors (more recently 4.9 from 308). The firm has a "Recognised for Outstanding Client Service" badge. None of this appears on the homepage. The visitor scanning for trust signals in the first scroll sees a stock photo and a generic strapline. The actual evidence of trustworthiness lives under /site/about/community/, two clicks deep.
Cause
CMS has no review-pull module or testimonial-carousel block, and no AggregateRating schema. Reviews are written up as individual news articles under the community section.
After rebuild
A trust-row directly under the hero pulls the 4.85/5 rating and the review count into the second visible screen, alongside the CQS badge and the SRA number. A three-quote panel surfaces the verbatim client lines (Alla Zubenko for conveyancing, Elizabeth Holmes for wills, Jakki for stamp-duty deadlines). AggregateRating and Review schema feed Google rich snippets and AI answer-engines.
03

No structured data. Google cannot tell who runs the firm or where it sits on the cobbles.

Observation
A crawl of willettsolicitors.com surfaces no application/ld+json schema at all. No LegalService or Attorney schema with the Angel Hill address, telephone or founding date. No Person schema for Clive Willett or David Shipman. No AggregateRating despite holding a 4.85/5 from 186 reviews. No og:image meta either, so when someone shares the link in WhatsApp or iMessage the unfurl renders blank.
Cause
The custom CMS predates structured-data tooling. The og:image meta tag is missing entirely from <head>. Twitter card type is "summary" rather than "summary_large_image", so even with an image set the share preview would render small.
After rebuild
A full LegalService schema block with PostalAddress, telephone in E.164, opening hours, foundingDate 1973, founder Person "Clive Willett" and member Person "David Shipman". AggregateRating tied to the 186 reviews. FAQPage on the five questions most-asked at the front desk. Open Graph and Twitter summary_large_image cards on the Abbey-Gate-and-Angel-Hill photo. Within weeks the firm starts citing on "Bury St Edmunds solicitor", "conveyancing solicitor Angel Hill", and "Suffolk agricultural conveyancing".
